In policy news, The Board has approved an updated policy and guidelines for Visitor Competition Play - It is the policy of Wynnum Golf Club to welcome visiting golfers from other recognised golf clubs and to offer them appropriate playing and access rights as determined by the Board. Visitor play on Saturdays is not permitted unless expressly approved by the General Manager, President, and Captain.. The change will come into effect Saturday 1 November.

The office will be closed this Monday 27 October, we apologise for any inconvenience and appreciate your understanding. The office will reopen as per normal on Tuesday 28 October.

Tuesday Club members please note that the Paul King Cup Memorial (HB) date change to Tuesday 2 December.

Members and guests are reminded that urinating in public which includes the golf course is illegal and is contrary to the Clubs standard of behaviour set out in the Member Code of Conduct Policy. All members and guests are encouraged to review this policy here.

The Club will be hosting two qualifying rounds for members for the Road To The Australian PGA Championship in conjunction with the competition of the day.

Participants will receive a free general admission ticket to the 2025 BMW Australian PGA Championship valued at $35.

The winner of each club event wins a spot in the Road to the PGA Final which is played at Royal Queensland Golf Club the Sunday 23 November, before the PGA Championship, set up in full tournament conditions.

Entry fee is $10 and payable at the Pro Shop on the day of play. T&C's apply.

Qualifying Dates: Saturday 1 November and Thursday 6 November.

'Fore'

Don't forget to yell 'Fore'.

Fore is a warning call that alerts golfers that they may be in the way of an errand shot. Golf is a game steeped in tradition and one of those traditions is to yell 'fore' when you hit a bad shot towards anyone else on the course.

Yelling 'fore' is good etiquette and a conduct expected of all players. Rule 1.2a linked.
