the Buzz - Legends are Coming!

Now in it's third year, the Paul King Memorial Legends ProAm, and as the partner event to the Bartons BMD ProAm in November, Wynnum Golf Club is proud to again be the Host Venue on Monday 11 August 2025.

Alongside ProAm sponsor amateurs, Legends aplenty will take the field for a $40 000 prize purse. The impressive  Entry List  is a showcase of great players present and past including 2024 winner, Scott Barr, Peter Senior OAM, Andre Stolz, Peter Lonard, David McKenzie, Jason Norris and our very own Head Professional Matthew King.

Club members are welcome spectators for the Shotgun Start at 11.30am. More to follow.

Men's BDGA Pennant

The team travelled away last Sunday and despite challenging Redcliffe GC early in the day, Redcliffe at home got away with the win, 14 matches to 7. Wins to Alan Cleal, Justin Gaske, Stephen Morshuis, Kyle Woodbine, Aiden and Luke Biddle. The team is away again Sunday at Virginia GC then home for the final two rounds. Play well team!

Rules Tips with Neil French PGA Instructor

Thank you to our new Teaching Professional Neil French for putting together a series of short videos on Rules Tips and Rule Changes which will be shared via the Buzz over the coming months.

These videos  will cover the most common Rules situations where confusion can occur throughout your competition round. The first video linked here covers - Accidentally moved your ball? What's the Rule? 

It's also great to see Neil is up and running with both women's and mixed adult 'Beginner Golf Clinics', providing a smooth pathway for new players getting started in golf at our Club. Information on these 'Get Into Golf' clinics is linked here.
