On behalf of the Wynnum Golf Course Committee and Board, we are pleased to announce the upcoming redevelopment of the pond on the 2nd hole

This important project will address the persistent algae infestation that has made the pond unsightly and negatively affected it's water quality and ecological balance. Excessive algae growth - driven by high nutrients levels, warm temperatures, and sunlight has led to murky water, unpleasant odours and a decline in aquatic health and biodiversity.

This redevelopment is part of the Board's ongoing commitment to enhancing the course and rejuvenating the 2nd hole experience. The improved pond will not only restore its natural beauty but also create a more challenging and enjoyable approach shot for all golfers.

We look forward to delivering this upgrade and thank our members for their continued support. 

Women's Charity Golf Day

The Wynnum Charity Open Day supporting the Waterloo Bay Leisure Centre 'Community Meal Fund' was a huge success on Thursday 17 July, 100 women golfers played a 4 person Choker Scramble event. 

A huge thank you to our sponsor MOVE Podiatry with representatives Vanessa Carrick joining the ladies for lunch.

Overall winners with a score of 144 3/8 were Jo Collins, Jacque Amprimo, Barbara Hall and Mary Van Der Heide.

Men's BDGA Pennant

Congratulations to the Men's Pennants First Round win over Virginia GC 15.5 - 5.5 across each of the Masters, Open and Junior teams last Sunday 13 July, and go well again team this Sunday 20 July Away at Keperra GC!

Steve Morshuis was named the Greg Collins player of the day, Finn Smart Junior player of the day and Garry Clyne named Caddie of the Day (Caddies are people too). BDGA Pennant linked

It was great to see 140 members and guests attend Friday Night Dining/Christmas in July last week.
