Heading into ANZAC Day, Wynnum Golf Club remembers those who fought and served in the defence of Australia and New Zealand in conflicts and peacekeeping operations around the world.

The Clubhouse will be open from 9am on ANZAC Day in lieu of the Hatch being closed, and offering a Veranda BBQ menu over lunchtime. Note licensing requires alcohol not available prior to 1pm unless seated and dining.

On matters of Match, congratulations to Noela Deyude and Jill Cole for winning their second Kath Duthie Memorial 4BBB Matchplay Honour Board final since 1997,  defeating Ros Pickels and Anna Peterson on the 18th hole in a tight contest yesterday. Well played ladies!

Congratulations also to the Men's Matchplay Champions for 2024 with Kerrod Crocker defeating Luke Sellars in A Grade, Ryan Sellars over Evan Ratcliffe in B Grade and Scott Saron took out C Grade over Jose Jiminez.

Men's Qld Senior Teams Challenge 2024 

This years team challenge will commence late April with the first round for Wynnum to be played on Friday 10th May. The Team Matchplay event consists of a team of 8 players, playing single or 4Ball Matchplay. Players must be 55 years and over with two players 60 years and over.

Great results for the women's pennant team defeating Royal Queensland GC 6 matches to 1 at Indooroopilly GC in their opening round of the season today. Fantastic way to start the season ladies!

Friday Night Dining remains on and open for Frid 26 April and the with the Members Draw of over $1 000 at 7pm! The following First Friday of the month, 3 May will be a BBQ on the Deck for all from 5pm with various plate sizes and offerings available and with delicious indoor Salad Bar to complement.

Driveway & Entry Statement

With impressive new works as above from the BMD team, the Club is moving ahead with the new main driveway entrance before then building the planned Entry Statement feature walls and gardens flanking either side. 

Brisbane City Council roadworks and upgrade to Stradbroke Avenue are scheduled to commence early May to tie in with the Club's works.
